Electronic Bedside Alarm Clock Power Strip with 4 USB 2 AC

Bedside Charging Station Placement and Cable Setup Checklist

Adminkungfuking

A bedside charging station should be easy to reach, easy to read, and simple to unplug without pulling cords across the bed or walkway. This checklist focuses on placement and cable setup for an alarm clock charging station with AC outlets, USB-C, and USB-A ports.

Choose a stable location

Place the charging station on a flat, stable part of the nightstand where the clock display and alarm controls remain visible. Leave enough space around the unit for plugs and charging cables, and keep it away from drinks, humidifiers, bedding, and other items that can block ventilation or introduce moisture.

Do not place the unit where a pillow, blanket, or book can cover the charging ports. The display should be readable from bed without requiring the charging station to sit at the edge of the furniture.

Plan the wall connection

The current alarm clock charging station with 20W USB-C and 2 outlets has a 6 ft 18AWG cord and a 45-degree flat plug. Measure the route from the nightstand to the wall outlet before positioning the clock.

  • Keep the cord out of walkways and away from moving bed frames.
  • Do not pinch the cord between the nightstand and wall.
  • Leave enough slack to move the clock for cleaning or setting the alarms.
  • Keep the wall plug accessible for inspection and disconnection.

Assign each charging port

The current model provides 2 AC outlets, 2 USB-C ports, and 2 USB-A ports. One USB-C port supports up to 20W Power Delivery for compatible devices. Decide which devices will remain connected overnight and use device-appropriate cables.

Many phones, tablets, earbuds, and accessories can use the built-in USB ports. Many laptops require more than 20W, so they may need the manufacturer's adapter connected to an AC outlet. Charging speed depends on the device, cable, battery level, and supported charging profile.

Set up the alarm and backup memory

  1. Set the correct time and choose a comfortable display brightness.
  2. Set one or both alarms and test the sound before relying on the clock.
  3. Install 2 AAA batteries if backup memory is needed; the batteries are not included.
  4. Unplug the clock briefly and confirm that the time and alarm settings are retained.

The AAA batteries retain clock settings during a power interruption. They do not power the AC outlets or turn the charging station into a portable battery.

Check the setup regularly

Inspect the cord, plug, charging cables, and ports periodically. Stop using damaged cables or a unit that shows visible damage, unusual heat, or unstable operation. Follow the rating and safety instructions supplied with the charging station and each connected device.

Bedside setup checklist

  • Stable, dry placement with controls in reach.
  • Clear display and uncovered charging ports.
  • Protected cord route with no pinch points.
  • Correct cables and adapters for each device.
  • Alarm, brightness, and backup memory tested.
